Synonyms and keyboard layout correction

Section synonyms​

On Синонимы разделов (Section synonyms), select a connected infoblock with native section indexing enabled, then a section. Filter sections by name or ID. Only the first 100 results are listed, so refine the filter for large catalogs.

Enter one alias per line. For the Russian section «Тепловые пушки» (Heat guns), for example:

The default is substring matching: обогрев matches the alias оборудование для обогрева. Только целиком requires the entire alias. Case and repeated spaces are ignored. Words from different alias lines are not combined.

Click Сохранить синонимы (Save synonyms). Only that section is updated; no full rebuild is needed. The general Save button also saves edited section synonyms. Clear the list and save to remove all aliases for the section.

You may assign one alias to multiple sections. Each matching accessible section becomes a result candidate; the component's result limit determines how many are displayed. Multiple matching aliases do not duplicate a section.

Aliases remain searchable when the basic section name field is disabled. Catalog selection, native section indexing, permissions and the activity of the section and its parents still apply. Products do not inherit section aliases as indexed product fields; autocomplete expansion is a separate rule.

In 0.1.24, each section supports 100 aliases, with up to 512 characters and 32 words each. The limits removed in 0.1.23 apply to the product phrase dictionary below.

Product-name phrase synonyms​

On Синонимы фраз (Phrase synonyms), enter one group per line, with alternatives separated by =:

iphone = айфон
apple watch = эпл вотч = часы apple
aurora = аврора

After saving, айфон 15 also searches for iphone 15, and vice versa. Remaining query text, numbers and leading zeros are preserved. Whole words or phrases are replaced, not fragments of another word. Matches are added to the ordinary results without duplicate products.

The dictionary is shared by selected catalogs and applies only to the enabled basic product Name field, respecting its matching mode and sorting. It does not replace codes, article numbers or section names. Overlapping phrases use the first match; when matches start at the same position, the longest is chosen.

Since 0.1.23, there are no module-defined fixed limits on groups, alternatives, synonym length or word count. A group needs at least two distinct nonempty alternatives. An alternative repeated across groups is rejected; combine those groups. Large dictionaries and many replacement combinations still consume PHP and database resources.

Changes and removals apply immediately without a rebuild. No preset dictionary is supplied.

Wrong keyboard layout​

If the original search, including synonyms, returns no accessible results, the module retries once by interpreting English keyboard keys as Russian:

geirb → пушки
lhtkm → дрель

Corrected results are not added when original results exist. A result from another module also prevents the retry in mixed searches. Filters, activity and permissions apply within the scope of the current search call.

Correction is enabled automatically. Queries containing Cyrillic, mixed Russian/English text, or only digits are not converted. This is not transliteration: pushki does not become пушки. General typo correction and morphology are not implemented.

Mixed layouts in product names​

Since 0.1.32, Substring mode supports wrong-layout Russian words alongside a Latin brand: elfhysq gytdvjufqrjdthn aero finds «Ударный пневмогайковерт FoxWeld 310 Нм AERO». Each query part must match in one name, either as typed or after layout correction. Numbers and leading zeros are preserved. This check runs only when the original search is empty; it is not transliteration or general typo correction. Queries already containing Cyrillic remain unchanged. No rebuild is needed.
