CDN for OpenCart

Choose the archive for your CMS major version:

BranchVersion 0.1.0 archiveTested
OpenCart 3Download ZIP · SHA-2563.0.4.1
OpenCart 4Download ZIP · SHA-2564.1.0.4

The 4.0.2.3 event API was checked against its source, but full installation tests used 4.1.0.4. Use the separate package for ocStore.

OpenCart 3

  1. Connect the CDN source.
  2. Upload the OpenCart 3 archive through Extensions → Installer.
  3. Under Extensions → Extensions → Modules, install Zorka CDN and open its settings.
  4. Select the store and enter its CDN URL, public folders and exclusions.
  5. Test a CDN image, enable rewriting and clear page caches.

Files install under the standard admin, catalog and system directories. Native events are used, with no XML modification; refreshing OCMOD caches is not required for this module. Settings labels are currently in Russian.

OpenCart 4

Upload zorka_cdn.ocmod.zip keeping this exact filename through Extensions → Installer and install the package. Then install Zorka CDN from the module list and configure it. OpenCart 4.0 derives the extension directory from the ZIP name, so do not add a version suffix. Version metadata lives in install.json.

OpenCart 3 and 4 archives are not interchangeable.

Stores and image handling

Each store has its own CDN URL and exclusions. Public folders default to /image/, accounting for an installation subdirectory. Enter one folder per line with leading and trailing /.

OpenCart generates thumbnails normally before the module rewrites their URLs. Optional template HTML processing covers srcset, lazy loading and inline backgrounds. Originals and image size settings are unchanged.

Customer account pages, checkout, APIs, mail templates and logged-in customers are bypassed. Test public pages while logged out. Custom themes and AJAX galleries need verification.

Disable or update

Disable the module for a store and clear page caches to roll back. Uninstalling removes its events and settings for all stores, but preserves image files. Save every store's CDN URL and exclusions before reinstalling.

Test updates on a copy of the site first. If the installer requires removal of the previous package, save settings before removal, restore them afterward and clear HTML caches.
