Installation

Requirements

An existing 1C-Bitrix: Site Management installation, PHP 8.1+, mbstring, and MySQL/MariaDB with InnoDB. Verified environment: Bitrix 26.150.0, PHP 8.3, MySQL 8.0. Other combinations and MariaDB were not separately verified.

PHP must create database tables/indexes and write to /bitrix/admin/, /bitrix/js/, and /bitrix/tools/. Web Push additionally needs OpenSSL, cURL, outbound HTTPS and a trusted HTTPS site. The base chat works over HTTP.

Install

  1. Back up site files and the database.
  2. Open Marketplace → Solution catalog in the Bitrix admin panel, find zorka.chat and install the module through Bitrix Market.
  3. Follow the installation wizard, then check Marketplace → Installed solutions for zorka.chat.
  4. Reload administration and open Chat → Settings. Select the site first. The widget starts disabled on every site, including inactive sites.
  5. Create a managers group and assign Chat operator module permission on the Access tab. A site's operator-group selection does not grant module permission itself. Do not grant chat permissions to all visitors.
  6. Optionally restrict operator groups for this site, enable its widget, and configure other sites independently.
  7. Open Chat → Diagnostics and the manager workspace. Use a separate browser profile for the visitor test.

Do not leave a second zorka.chat copy in /local/modules/: Bitrix can load that copy instead. For an existing local installation, determine the loaded module path before updating; do not uninstall simply to move it.

Verify

Keep a manager workspace open, send a visitor message, claim it and reply. The visitor heading should show the manager's Bitrix name. Closing removes the conversation from Open, preserving it in Closed and All.

Clear composite HTML cache after enabling the widget. Visitor pages need a closing </body> tag for the loader.
